TRADING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Customer Trade Accounts

Customer credit trading accounts are available to bona fide retailers. Applications will require full trading details of the applicant including company registration details (where applicable), two trade references and agreement that the applicant will abide by our trading and payment terms.

Payment Terms

Standard payment terms are the end of the month following the date of invoice.

The following additional conditions apply:

  • Where a settlement discount is offered, payment must be received by our accounts department or directly into the Company's bank account on or before the due date, as detailed on the sales invoice. We regret that settlement discount cannot be allowed where payment is received after the due date.
  • If an account becomes overdue, future deliveries may be suspended.
  • Any costs incurred in the collection of overdue accounts will be re-charged to the customer.
  • An administrative charge will be made for any cheques returned or represented by the bank.
  • The Company reserves the right to charge interest on any overdue balances at a rate of 2% per month.
  • Credit card payments are accepted which are subject to 2% handling fee.

Retention of Title in Goods Supplied

  • Goods supplied by the Company shall remain the property of the Company until such time that payment for said goods has been received in full by the Company.
  • Liability for the safe keeping of the goods becomes that of the customer upon delivery.
  • The acceptance of our delivery acknowledges acceptance of our retention of title until paid in full.
  • The company reserves the right to repossess and permanently retain any goods where full payment has not been received without the Company incurring any liability toward the customer.

Prices

  • All items are offered and supplied at the trade prices ruling at the time the goods are invoiced, plus VAT.
  • Trade prices are subject to change in the normal course of business without any prior notice being given.
  • Some products are offered and supplied at trade prices that attract no discount (nett lines). These items are marked as nett lines on the sales invoices and are often goods featured in promotional leaflets that are offered at keen trade prices designed to maximise the customers return.
  • Suggested Retail Prices (inclusive of V.A.T.) are quoted on all invoices and are offered for guidance purposes only.

Delivery Terms

  • We deliver free of charge all orders over £85 at trade value.
  • Customers are asked not to expect uneconomical deliveries to be made.
  • Orders under this value may incur a low order value charge of £5.00 as a contribution toward delivery costs.
  • Shortages and damaged deliveries or invoice discrepancies must be reported within three working days of receipt of order for a claim to be valid.
  • Customers are advised to check and sign for the actual number of cartons.
  • Claims cannot be entertained where an incorrect number of parcels have been signed for.
  • Customers are respectfully requested to double check contents before claiming.
  • Claims for faulty goods can only be accepted where they are defective in manufacture.
  • Shop soiled or damaged goods will not be accepted, including where goods have been priced for display.
  • Faulty goods will be replaced or credited only where the Company has previously supplied the goods.
